                                   ESTABLISHMENT OF GRID ENVIRONMENT

ABSTRACT

Grid computing is a term referring to the federation of computer resources from multiple administrative domains to reach a common goal. The grid can be thought of as a distributed system with non-interactive workloads that involve a large number of files. it is more common that a single grid will be used for a variety of different purposes. Grids are often constructed with the aid of general-purpose grid software libraries known as middleware .

The current project of grid environment is developed  using globus tool kit to handle a large computational task. Grid environment is established by configuration of system at first level, Installation of GTAI1.0.1 tool kit at second  level.  The traditional centralized or standalone system takes more time to solve complex computational task.. The status of the job can also be retrieved It's flexible for users to make the final decision according to their preferences                                     

Two different complex program has been executed in both  traditional standalone system and  newly established grid environment .Where in the executed  time difference in both system has been notified and concluded that grid performance provided an efficient and an faster output.
